Mrs. Robert McMillan, NSCDA-WV Regent to Gunston Hall, introduced the guest speaker for the Semi-Annual meeting of NSCDA-WV held Dec. 10 at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston, West Virginia.

Scott Stroh, Executive Director of Gunston Hall, the home of Virginia patriot George Mason, gave a power point presentation on the history of the famous museum property.

Colonial Dames support Gunston Hall financially to help educate the public about the international significance of George Mason and his unique contribution to the universal cause of human rights. Mason is the author of America’s first Bill of Rights.

As new Executive Director, Stroh wants to promote a Bill of Rights Day; and he also plans to take the Gunston Hall history to classrooms via a mobile Gunstan Hall van.

Mr. Stroh graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a B.A. in History and Education, and from Middle Tennessee State University with an M.A. in History and Museum Studies. He is also a 2001 graduate of the Seminar of Historical Administration.
