Dr. Oscar Fitzgerald, a national authority in historic preservation, addressed NSCDA-WV and their guests at the Semi-annual Meeting held Nov. 13 at Edgewood Country Club. The event was underwritten by BB & T Wealth of Charleston, West Virginia. Curator for the NSCDA’s Dumbarton House in Washington, DC, national headquarters of the Colonial Dames, Fitzgerald presented a slide history of the historic Georgetown house. Colonial Dame Elizabeth Keightley introduced Dr. Fitzgerald, who holds a Ph.D. in American, European, and Far Eastern history from Georgetown University.
