District NSCDA History Scholarship

James Smith is the recipient of a $1500 District IX NSCDA American History Scholarship with contributions from Colonial Dames’ Societies in West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. Smith was awarded a B.A. Degree in Nutritional Science from Cornell University, an M.S Degree in Human Nutrition from Columbia University, plus M.A. and Ph.D. Degrees in American History from West Virginia University. Throughout Smith’s writing, the theme of patriotism is emphasized. Mrs. Richard Wilson, of the Huntington NSCDA Committee, introduced Smith to the membership at the 2014 NSCDA-WV Annual Meeting in Charleston at Edgewood Country Club.
