On June 14, 2025, the Pack Horse Ford Chapter NSDAR had a 250th Anniversary wreath-laying ceremony at Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.
The Beeline March was made up of a group of soldiers who traveled from Shepherdstown to Lexington/Concord to meet up with George Washington. It was one of the first armies organized in the colonies.
29 wreaths were laid by a variety of genealogical organizations.
The Jefferson County Committee placed a wreath at the memorial for NSCDA-WV, laid by Dale Walter. A second wreath was placed at the memorial for Jefferson County Committee by Pat Wilkinson. Jefferson County Committee member Patricia Toffling in the green colonial dress gave out the streamers. Rosadlind Grenfell also attended the event. It was a special event.
