WV Student Places 2nd in NSCDA Essay Contest

NSCDA-WV Patriotic Services chair Dixie Wilson announced that a West Virginia student placed second in the NSCDA Region VI Congressional Essay Contest for 2016. Essay contestants responded to the following prompt: “How did Alexander Hamilton’s intense involvement in the formation of our government affect the citizens then and now?” The first place winner from the state of Virginia received a week’s trip to Washington, DC, where the student attends the prestigious Congressional Workshops to learn how the Constitution and government work and to visit key historical sites.
